Qamar is a chartered accountant with a global perspective and a practical, solutions-driven approach. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK).

Qamar started his career in 2011 with a leading engineering firm, serving clients in engineering, construction, and contracting. He managed complex contractor-based transactions, including project-based billing, percentage-of-completion and completed contract revenue recognition, detailed job costing, and progress invoicing. He implemented and monitored internal controls for work-in-progress (WIP), cost allocation, and project account reconciliation, ensuring all processes met GAAP and IFRS standards, as applicable.

His expertise extends to robust financial controls, client contract management, accounts receivable/payable, and supporting teams through periods of rapid growth and change. Qamar’s passion for helping local businesses succeed led him to co-found QMD Bookkeeping, where he continues to provide audit-ready, compliant, and growth-oriented financial solutions for Sacramento’s small businesses and contractors.
